spousal sponsorship and visitors visa

my visitors visa is expiring, should i even renew it if im applying for spousal sponsorship before the expiry date? i'm in canada by the way..

Yes..renew it!! You must keep a valid Status at all times in Canada! Doesnt matter if you are applying Inland or Outland you can still be deported if you overstay your Visa!

If you plan to stay in Canada, you must keep renewing it until your premanent resident application is approved (or denied). Having a PR application in process is a good reason for them to approve a renewal.
