Hey Everyone, I am new to this site and was looking for a little advice! I am living out of Canada at the moment with my husband and 2 Canadian daughters. Do you think it is possible that we might be processed a little faster due to the fact that 3/4 of our family is Canadian?

Also, my husband needs to fill out a Criminal Rehabilitation form. Can I send this form at the same time as I do the sponsorship, or should I send them separately? I feel like they will likely be processed in different departments anyway, and the crim rehab take 12-18 months to process will the sponsorship takes 12 months.

I am concerned about having to "prove" how I can support him and my family when we move to Canada. I havent been working for the past 5 years, as I am a stay at home mom while my husband supports our family. Now that the roles are reveresed, I am worried about how I can prove that I will support them! Do I get an offer from a future employer? (Even though I wont be in Canada for another year or so....!!) Please help me out!

Cheers!

You're not going to be processed any faster. In fact, likely slower as the application will undergo scrutiny if there's a criminal history.

You will need to demonstrate some savings/a plan if you're not working. People do it all the time.
