one of my very good friend told me that canadian govt just put some spousal probation period type ban after the arrival of sponsored person in canada.canadian govt was thinking to put some spousal sponsorship probation period like the person who has been sponsored can not leave his/her spouse until 2 years after he/she land in canada.
i thought so it was under discussion.are you guys sure that they put this ban already.
i know that its already effective that we can not sponsor next spouse after divorce for like 5 years.
but its new that we even can not leave spouse until 2 years after arrival in canada.

what they put into effect in March of 2012 is that a sponsored person....if he/she leaves her spouse after arriving in Canada cannot sponsor a person for 5 years
so the people who landed in canada in end of march but but got their visa in december last year will also be effected by that.
i think so the only which will be effected who submitted their new application after march 2012.bcz its logical that whenever a law is put in placed then it effects the ONWARD people who will be doing that thing that time onward.
bcz those who who submitted their applications or even who got their pr visas before march wont be effected by that.
what you guys says?
can anyone please post the weblink of this info

The law isn't about staying with your spouse for two years.. It's about not being eligible to sponsor someone else (partner) for 5 years if the person has received their PR as a sponsored spouse/partner.
The two year conditional PR is in the talks now. It hasn't become a law yet. If it comes into effect, the sponsored person and the sponsor will need to stay in the relationship for two years after the PR is approved. There will be some exceptions to the rule, as they describe it. However, it's not the law yet, so we aren't clear about the details.
Hope this helps.
