My ICT visa has expired on 1-Jul-2017. My employer has applied for extension which is still in process. Meanwhile, I have started my preparation for PR. My husband is currently working in US on H1B which is about to expire on 5-Sep-2017.
I am planning to apply for dependent and spousal Open work permit for him as I'm not sure how long we will have to wait for PR processing. If I apply for dependent as soon as I get my extension, I guess it will take about 2 months to get his dependent visa. I just want to know if he can enter Canada on dependent visa and request for a spousal work permit on arrival. Also, does he need to have a job offer in hand when he requests for the WP?
