So my husband is in fiji. The visa processing for Fiji is completed in Australia. Our application was sent August 30 2018. About 4 weeks ago, we finally received an email stating my husband will need an interview. However they did not give us the date yet. Is this normal? And how long does a process like this take?
Hope to hear some good answers. Much appreciated! Thank you
There's some other cases at other visa offices on this forum that also were informed they needed an interview, but were not scheduled until weeks to months after the initial notice. It seems like they usually only schedule firm interview dates about a month in advance, so depending on how backlogged the visa office is with pending interviews, it may be awhile before you receive notice of the exact date of your interview.

Hi there
We too received the exact same letter from the México VO, in fact quite a few of us did .
The waiting period is different for all offices and depends on back log etc. I hope we all receive word soon on a date so that this process can be completed and our spouses with us here
Wishing you the best of luck !
