Hello all
There is lots of information so much that one gets confused.
I need a couple of clarifications.
My spouse applied from central ameica in April 2015
Today I saw that it was been updated with the field Medicals received.
My questions are;
Is her back ground checks done at this point?
Would there be an interview or not?
What happens next and an approximate time frame?
I am about 35 years older then my wife and we lived together for almost 3 years until I returned to Canada.
Is this stage passed and accepted or they may think it is not a legit case?
Please share your knowledge
Unfortunately, you can't really tell for sure what's happening. First, they will look at the application and make sure everything is there. Then they'll assess you as a sponsor and if you're approved, they send the application to the corresponding visa office for your wife's country. There, they will look at her half of the application and your relationship proof. You won't know if there's going to be an interview. If they think you need one, they'll ask for one.
The approximate time frames for each visa office is on CIC's website.
