Spousal application and PNP

I have received PR in Oct 2016 after successful provincial nomination. I did include my wife and my child in the application and we all received PR status in 2016.
There has been a breakdown in the marriage and we are no longer together. We are still in good terms and we also have 2 children.

She is about to sponsor her common law partner. Does she need to wait 5 years since her PR (Oct 2016)? Or she can apply to sponsor her new partner already?
She did send an application and she is afraid it may get rejected.

She can sponsor her partner now. The 5 year wait doesn't apply.

Since you didnt sponsor her and you landed together she can sponsor her common law partner.
