I was sponsor by my wife 2017 In the united state I was arrested for identity theft which I plead guilty and was detained for 3days when I arrived Canada I was not allowed to seek asylum my lawyer put in a pre removal risk application after I got married 2019 I put in Canada application for sponsorship in February 2020. than in May 2021 I received a letter from immigration, saying I should stayed the reason why they should approve my sponsorship application because I’ve been arrested in the United States no that’s which my lawyer respond to that then in December 2022 my sponsorship application was been denied because of my arrest in the US and the officer said my file has being forwarded to H&C for consideration so I don’t know how that works.
