Sponsorship through Dakar, Senegal visa office

Hey guys,

There hasn't been a recent thread for the Dakar visa office, so decided to start one.

We will be submitting our application soon and wanted to find out other people's experience with this office. Current processing times are 23 months - is there anyone who was done in less time? Are they strict? If there is an interview, do they expect applicants who don't live in Senegal to travel there?

Please let's share our experience, tips, what to watch for, etc to help one another. Feel free to ask questions.

Hi I applied for PR and my file is in Dakar. Actually I noticed that the processing time is less than 23 months but still over 14 months. In exactly one year from the day Dakar received your file they will contact you to send you passport and redo medical examen. I do believe that by january 2014 the processing time will drop since they will be adding more visa processing offices in that area of africa. Send you app asap.
