I have married to a Jamaica National for 8 years and I have applied for Spousal sponsorship for him to join me in Canada. The Canadian government approved my sponsorship and has sent it on to Jamaica. I am told that they will call him in for an interview and have the final decision. What does this interview consist of. Does he need to take anything with him that I may have here in Canada? What is the forum? What questions do they ask? Does he find out that day if they approve? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I thought once our government said ok all they had to do was stamp his passport and he was good to go??

How in the world did you guys even get an interview? Being married for 8 years, surely that should be proof enough that you guys are in a genuine relationship, and the interview should've been scrapped. Can you tell us about your background/relationship? Did you guys not collect proof of contact/photos, etc when you were together during the 8 years?
