Hello,
My husband received an email from immigrations requesting his police certificate which we originally sent in our application package. I called the CIC to explain our situation and they advised me that they have them on file and there were no specific notes on what they needed. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before ? Could anyone advise me on what to do next? I did send the officer a message through their website.
For our country’s requirements they need all three police certificates. When I called the CIC representative said he could see all three uploaded on their system and wasn’t sure what the officer needed. We did send the original and translated copies ( we even had a lawyer double check everything)
Unfortunately it’s just such a hassle and a very big expense.
This refers to your application for permanent residence under the Family Class. In order for us to continue processing your application, please submit the following document(s):
Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate This must be received at this office by: 2019/07/21
Please note:
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by the English or French translation completed by a certified translator, and a copy of the original document. If any of the requested document(s) are not available, please submit a detailed written explanation.
... the also added steps on how to send what they are requesting.
We sent in our application Oct. 2018 but due to a missing signature we got everything returned to us in Feb. 2019. We re sent everything in March 2019 and got an email from immigration's stating that everything was OK & that I had met all the requirements to sponsor. His police records were from Sept. 2018 and where certified and translated (that was one of our country's requirements). The officer has also requested for my husband to get his Biometrics and Medical Exam done
Has he only resided in one country for six months or longer since the age of 18? Are there any other countries he's lived in since he was 18 for six months or longer?
