I am a Canadian citizen. I married an Ukrainian woman in her country and she will move to Canada to live here with me.
Does anybody know what time it takes for the outland sponsorship procedure in my case? We're married, so is this all we have to do so that she can come and stay?
Also, will she be able to land in Canada only when this procedure is finalized? Or is there a way to bring her earlier than that?
I learned while in her country that it would be very difficult for her to get a visa to Canada. If she could, then we'd be able to apply inland once she lands here. That's why I ask: Is there a legal way to bring her earlier? Or will we have to wait inevitably?
You can apply for a visa for her to visit. If it works, you can apply to extend it every 6 months based on that you are sponsoring her for PR whether it is outland or inland that you have applied through. If you can't get a visa for her to visit, you must apply outland and wait until she gets her PR.

Do you know how much does it take more or less for the sponsoring process? Is there a difference in time between doing it in Toronto or Kiev? (inland or outland?)
Inland is currently taking about 10 months for first stage approval. Some applicants are now receiving first and second stage approval together, in which case, the 10 months is all that is needed. If not, second stage approval can take anywhere from another 9 months to 18 months.
Kiev is averaging 8 months for 80% of all applications, which is actually quite fast.
