A newbie to this site! I just have a few questions about the Family Class Sponsorship. I'm already a PR card holder and I just got married a month ago back in the Philippines. I'm now filing up for the spousal sponsorship application so my husband can live here in Canada as well. But before I continue going on with the application, what if I still have my maiden name on my passport and especially on my PR card? would it harm the application process? or is it better to change my legal documents here from my maiden name to my married name first? For the residential address, for now I still live with my mother, is it better to get my own place first when sponsoring?
Any answers or advice would be highly appreciated
