Sponsoring my spouse

I live in Canada with a PR and I want to sponsor my husband who is outside Canada.
We got married in Turkey and we've had a wedding ceremonie there.
I am a student in Canada and I work as a part time.
I want to know if my application will be refused in my case and I want to know if I should have an ammount of money in my bank account so I can sponsor him.

There is no low income cut-off (LICO) for spouse sponsorship and IRCC does not require that applicants earn any certain amount of money to sponsor their spouse for PR.

I think you should be eligible to sponsor if you are not receiving welfare benefits or in bankruptcy proceedings.

What are the reasons that could get my husband refused even if I was eligible to sponsor him?

There are so many reason, but here a few.......

1. Misrepresentation in the Application Form (provide inaccurate information or lied about past record)

2. Principal Applicant is ineligible to be Sponsored (e.g., previous criminal record, terrorism).

3. Undeclared Family members (e.g., non-accompanying dependant)

4. Marriage of Convenience (IRCC is not convince marriage is genuine and only to gain PR)
