Hi

I'm a canadian citizen for 15 years now and i'm going back home to get married to my long term boyfriend. I am planning on returning to Canada and applying for a family class sponsorship for him to come and live with me here in Canada.

Help with the below questions will be much appreciated!

1. Sponsor co-signer - is this my husband to be that has to be the co signer?
2. Part 2: Immigration forms - me or my husband to be has to fill this part of the application?
3. After getting a marriage license....when I come back to Canada....do I change my marital status from single to married and THEN start the application process or no?
4. If he's in eastern europe...will he be asked to go to the closest canadian immigration office for anything else?
5. What are some of the processing times (min/max ?)

Thanks in advance!

1) Sponsoring a spouse does not need/allow a co-signer. So this section is Not Applicable to you.
2) Not sure what you mean by Part 2, there are forms for the sponsor and forms for the applicant being sponsored (your husband). The applicant should provide all the information for his section of the forms. If one of you is better at paperwork, there is nothing that says you can't help or even do it for him, but ensure he provides the information and understands the questions correctly. Absolutely do not guess anything.
3) You should change your marital status, it can be done concurrently, but it is easiest to get it over with first.
4) If an interview is required, he will be asked to go to the nearest Canadian embassy, yes.
5) That depends on what office is responsible for his nationality. See here for processing times: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#europe

Just a quick question.....I know at some point I am to prove the relationship...do I send all the proof with the package or is there a seperate section to do that?

We usually use skype to chat/talk....am I to copy/paste all of our conversation (some are NOT in English) and include in the application?

Thanks again!

You send all the proof with the application. You should continue to gather proof of your contact, though, because the visa officer may ask for updates (not common) and the VO will want the applicant to bring further evidence to the interview. You can send in updated proof of contact after a few months of processing, if you wish, but most people don't and it is not necessary (unless the VO asks).

For proof of contact such as emails, Skype logs, and messages, you should not send everything you have because it will be too much. You can print out the log showing how often you email or whatever. Then print a few examples from the course of your relationship. Anything not in English or French has to be translated.

Hi!

you can gather some ideas of what to provide for proof of relationship here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/best-guidelines-advice-proof-of-relationship-t61283.0.html

you guys are awesome!

One last question....I'm planning on going there to fill out all the applications together.

Do I bring all the application packages back with me to Canada and send it here or should HIS sections be sent by him to the nearest location for him?

Thanks very much again!

u can either send from Ca or from outside Ca BUT all forms have to be together (sponsor + applicant) and send to Missisauga; once u r approved to sponsor Missisauga will forward ur whole package to the visa office for ur region

Wondering if anyone knows whether during the application process ( I just sent them 2 weeks ago)....if my spouse can come for a visit.....just wonering if there's a problem with that....for example if they don't allow him for visit (reject his visa application)....will it affect our sponsorship application?

Thanks very much

No, it won't affect the PR processing if he is refused a TRV.
