Hello All,
I recently got married and have filed sponsorship for my wife .However My question is about one of my nephews who wants to come to Canada for study purposes and possibly immigrate as well .He is currenltly enrolled in ACCA in Pakistan .My questions are as follows ;
1-Can I sponsor him while I have a case pending for my wife already ?
2- What is the minimum IELTS requirement ?
3- How Much funds do we need to show in the Bank account ? Do they have to be in my account or Nephew/his parents ?
4- What kind of College would be best ? I am thinking of Humber or Seneca in Toronto area ?
5- Does he have a better chance of getting visa if he applies for college in Saskatchewan or Manitoba ?
6- Should the course be directly associated with studies ?

Thanks in Advance for all input .

Hi,

1. No because you are already sponsoring your spouse as a member of the family class.
2. It depend more on the school's requirement, generally in between 6.0 to 7.0
3. Either it's sponsor or applicant/parent's account statement with 1st year tuition + CAD 10,000 (as a minimum)
4. If you want a better deal, your school should be listed here www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp
5. It doesn't matter.
6. Yes (except in case of a general business management program)

I would like to suggest u to avoid Seneca and Humber. It is because of more crowded Place i.e Toronto. The best option for Ontario is Fansahwe College. It is situated in London and have good visa chances as compare to Toronto. London is not crowded, Fansahwe college has many programs for Business graduates.

Many students are bearing refusal because they apply for ACCA in LSBF and other private institution. However ACCA has no any value in CANADA. It is useless there. The best option for ur nephew is available here

As'salam Alikum,

If he will apply for ACCA than there are only 2 colleges in Toronto and both are private colleges.

Drawbacks of Private colleges:
1. No 20hours work allowed as student "legally"
2. NO Post study work visa after completion
3. NO PR

Now a days if, he apply for colleges specially in Toronto there visa processing is taking enough time as compare to other provinces but if he want to apply for University than he can.
"Check the below links for how much time CIC taking for various applicants from Pakistan"

Mostly all colleges required IELTS minimum 6 bands but some universities waive IELTS on some condition as well.

DO NOT mention that you have some relationship with your nephew because CIC thinks that person intention is not to study but to skip some where else.

For bank statement my advice is that his parents or he can open a joint a/c with them which will strengthen his funds background.
Requirement for Bank Statement as wper CIC:
ONE YEAR TUITION FEES + 12,000$ (Living Expense) + 3000$ (Other Expense) = TOTAL FUNDS REQUIRED FOR ONE YEAR

but my advice if the course is more than a year than funds should be double for Pakistan only.

No Toronto College please. Try to apply outside Toronto such as London, Ottawa, Windsor, Brampton or outside Ontario.

Saskatchewan and Manitoba are far better than Ontario right now but if I know his education background it will be easy for me to suggest him. Furthermore, University session for September intake is over and only colleges are accepting admission now.

Yes, course should be associate with his past education else he might face visa refusal due to "Study Mis-Match"

Regards,
Raheel

how about the centennial college ....

If your applying from Pakistan than read above massage.

Thanks for all for input so far . What kind of course would be best in this case as he has in the midst of completing his 2nd semester.

HELP PLEASE.

Hi, I have done B.sc (Honours) in Child Development and family relation 2006. I am house wife and I work part time in a Kindergarten school .I have a one year old child. Now I want to Study Diploma in Early child Education (2 years Diploma).
Q 1; After B.sc, can I Get visa for Diploma course? (Same subject area/ Related with my job)
Q 2: Can my Father in Law sponsor me from USA? (I live in Bangladesh)
Q 3: I have IELTS only 5.5 each band. Can I apply in University? If not? Which college is best and which Provence is best?
Q 4: Should I include my child and husband with me? Or show them as Tie. Can they join me later? How soon?

1. One year advance Diploma relates to ur field is suitable to u. It is therefore u are leading to Master program, applying again tow year diploma which is equal to ur graduation can cause negative impact on ur visa processing.

2. Yes he can sponsor u. To be honest with u, it would be mistake, if u go for sponsorship by ur father in law.
Most important parts to get the visa are:

a. Show matured bank statement i.e 4 months.
b. Acceptance letter form Canadian Uni or College and the course must relates to ur profile and on upper side than ur last degree.
c. Strong tie in ur home country that explain genuine reason to back to home country.
d. and etc :)

Most of the students get refuse because they show some of their relatives in Canada due to this above point C become weak by the sense that these students never back to their country because they have support of their relatives.

3. Different colleges have different requirement of IELTS. The best option is Alberta and Ontario colleges, In Ontario, colleges must be out from Toronto because Toronto is most crowded than other cities and visa ratio is low. Alberta 'Edminton' visa is also not good. Give me couple of days, soon I will reply u the best options by the help of my seniors.

4. U can show ur family as a tie. U have to bear less cost and other expense such as bank money for bank statement purpose. It can increase if u apply visa also ur son and husband.

5. There are many ways to call ur husbands and child. Canada government can never stop husband for Canada if wife is studying there. It can take 4 to 6 months.
