I am currently applying to sponsor my husband who is a born US citizen and I am a born Canadian citizen. We are currently living under the same address here in Canada since April of 2017.
Right now we are filling out the financial evaluation application (IMM1238E) and I see that I am just barely under the minimum requirements to sponsor my husband ($22,032 and requirement is $24,600) I do make income through self employment as well (I'm an artist). Question is I'm seeing on the form you HAVE to meet the minimum in order to send your application. We've read in multiple sources of this year that there is not a minimum requirement for income and you cannot be refused spousal sponsorship due to lack of income. What is actually the answer here? I'm worried I won't be able to sponsor my husband and help him apply for an OWP / PR card...

There is no minimum income for spous sponsorship you just have to show that the sponsor can provide basic needs and being on $12k would do that so youre fine
