I wonder, what if there was no father listed on the child's birth certificate? If the father of the baby is "unknown" the baby is only the woman's dependent. In that case, would the OP be able to marry her, then sponsor her for PR< and she lists the baby as her dependent?

I wondered about that as well, but I don't want to encourage the OP to go down `that path', without fully understanding what (if any) options are available.

As amazing as this forum is, sometimes a person really should consult with an experienced lawyer. While it seems as though forfeiting PR and starting over is an option, a lawyer will know if that really is even an option.

Other than being flat out fraud/misrepresentation... they would run the risk of CIC questioning how she got pregnant from some mystery person while she was supposedly in a relationship with the sponsor for 2 years, and further if CIC suspects any funny business they can simply order that DNA tests be done.
