I would appreciate if somebody can advice me on the process of sponsoring my one year old british citizen son for canadian PR. We did our landing last year in January but as my wife was pregnant , we decided to stay in UK .
Me and my whole family are still living in UK and can't move to Canada due to the reason , my one year old doesn't have Canadian PR.
Your son can only be sponsored while either your or your wife (or both of you) are living in Canada. He can't be sponsored from outside of Canada.
Once you are ready to move to Canada, you can bring your son with you as a visitor on his British passport and then sponsor him for PR while you are all in Canada.
There is nothing stopping you from moving to Canada now.
There shouldn't be any problems with this, as far as I understand. Your son is British and so visa-exempt. Just fly to Canada with him. Then apply for PR inland when you arrive. Pretty sure you can extend his stay while you are awaiting the PR.
Can I make an inland application for my one year old śon, would really appreciate your reply as going by the answers it seems confusing whether an inland application is possible for dependent child or not.
