Sponsoring Dependent Child

I am soon will be blessed with a child back in India. Me and my wife have received our PR but child will be born in India. What is the financial requirement for sponsoring a child, I read Form no 1283 for a sponsor where we need to submit 12 month history of employment. What to do in case sponsor was studying or was working in India for last 12 months.

Kindly give some clarifications.

There are no income requirements to sponsor a dependent child.

However you must be living in Canada at the time you sponsor the child and must continue living in Canada while the application is processed.

You also have to meet your RO to sponsor. You mention that you have been out of Canada for at least a year so not sure you have been out much longer.
