Hi guys,
I am an international student and My wife have just arrived in Canada on a study permit. I went back to my home country for our wedding a month before her first arrival in Canada. But as at the time she applied for her study permit, she was single and did state so but our wedding took place about two months after she got her visa.

However, she wants to defer her admission by one year because she is not psychologically ready to start school at this time. However, we are worried that under the new study permit rule starting June 1, 2014 if you come in as a student, you will have to consistently be enrolled for you to be legal in Canada.

Please what are the options open to us?? Can she apply for a work permit after she defers the admission?
