We are planning on getting married, I was reading on the CIC website of the requirements that conjugal partners can also be accepted. Which one is the easiest to apply for?
Would it be easier to just get married then apply? and if so, getting married in her country? or Canada(she would be under a vistor visa)?
Being married is the easiest path. Common-law comes second. Conjugal is the hardest. You need to prove real legit barriers that prevent you from married or being common-law and the fact that you mentioned that you plan on getting married rules out that excuse. It doesn't matter where you get married as long as it is official where ever it is done
Yup, just get married. That's by far the most straightforward and easy path.
Lots of conjugal cases are refused because it's hard to prove there's a real impediment to marriage - personal beliefs (such as not believing in marriage) isn't enough, it has to be a case where like the person would be imprisoned for homosexuality in their own country if they got married.
