No and being a nephew, you never were.

My understanding is that your uncle would need to meet these requirements:
-be a blood relative,
-have no spouse, no children
-parents and grandparents deceased
-and have no brother/sister/aunt/uncle/niece/nephew in Canada already.

Then he could sponsor one relative (plus dependents) in the family class. There is an income requirement he'd also have to meet depending on family size.

Given that you said "with his family" it seems he doesn't meet the requirements and therefore does not qualify to sponsor you.

If you want to immigrate to Canada you will have to do it on your own merits. You can look into the Manitoba PNP Family Stream program to see if you qualify. I don't know much about it, but it could be another option for you and your uncle may be able to help with that.

You can not be Under Family Sponsorship.Nephew is not considered a Family Member for Immigration In Canada.
