Can I sponsor my sister and her family to Canada. Or do they apply under another program? Which program would that be? Sorry I did go to cic.gc.ca but couldn't find a clear answer.
My sister has 2 teenage boys. They are doing well financially, brother in law is heading an IT consultancy firm, however as the current situation in our home country is deteriorating, they are now thinking of moving to Canada.

Brother in law is 48 and sister is 40. Good bank balance and job experience..children are 16 and 14 with excellent academic record. I know you are not an immigration consultant but not sure if their application will be successful... Could you comment please?

Yes, they would need to qualify on their own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry or PNP. Their ages will make it more difficult to be selected since they will lose points. I can't comment on their chances of being approved. They will need to calculate their points under EE to determine if this is feasible (they need scores of 480+ to have a chance) and also research the PNP programs. Too many variables to comment on their chances. If they are serious about immigrating, they need to dedicate time to the research (or hire an immigration lawyer to do it for them).
