Sponsor my Husband in USA

My husband and I have just married in January this year. He is living in America and i am canadian still living in canada. i really want to apply for him to come live with me here but i previously was married and applied for my ex husband to come to canada on family sponsorship; i ended up cancelling his application because we divorced thankfully before he was accepted so he never came to canada and he never was accepted by immigration canada.
Am i able to sponsor my husband to come even though i applied before for my ex but cancelled it?
and if i am able to apply, do i put down that i sponsored my ex even though we never was accepted or do i put i didnt sponsor anyone?

Yes, you can sponsor your husband. You didn't sponsor your ex, as the app was never approved.
