I am a Canadian Citizen and will marry my girlfriend whom I’ve cohabited for 17 months this January. She currently holds a valid open graduate work permit that will expire this November but her TRV will expire on March and she will extend that after we get married. She came her as an international student. Question is, can we go abroad for two weeks for our honeymoon on July since it’s her brother’s wedding as well in the Philippines and can she re-enter Canada? Or am I going to sponsor her first and can travel abroad still on July and she can re-enter?
Inland since my fiancé is already here and she already has a job. We just want to go to her home country come this July for her brother’s wedding and our late honeymoon.
- she came here September 2016 as an international student and we met at the the same student housing
- been together since then (17 months)
- will get married on the 19th of this month
- she is currently holding a post graduate work permit valid until November of this year and her TRV will expire on March but she will renew it on February
