Sponser an Iranian Common-law

Hi,
I am in a relationship with a Canadian guy. We met eachother last year when I traveled to Canada. Our relationship got serious when I traveled again this year. We being together for 3 month again and I went back to Iran.we love eachother and he suggested to move in together and being my sponser and live togethet. To do so, I have heared that I can come to Canada with my visitor visa and move in with him. After a year we can be our common law partner and he can then sponser me.
I just need to make sure if this is the way we need to follow? (considering I am from Iran)- and also if there is any faster way to do so? Also I need some more detailed information about common law sponsership please.

Yes - if you live together for a year continuously, he can then sponsor you for PR as his common law partner. Fastest way is to get married - he can then sponsor you immediately.
