SP visa and SOWP for spouse, TRV for child

Hi All,

I'm planning to apply for SP to pursue Masters degree in Canada.

How good chances are to get SOWP/TRV visa for my wife and 1yo child? By reading the forum I have expression that VO may refuse visas.

Options:
1. I apply for SP and get it. Then apply visa for wife and child before leaving my home country.
2. Or get SP for me then after settling in Canada get visa for wife and child.

What's the best option? How do you think?

Combination of both. After getting a SP would apply for a SOWP for your spouse and trv for your child. You may need to go to Canada before you hear about their visas/permits.

As my understanding applying together isn't good idea, is it? I'm just afraid that even with above options VO could refuse visas for my wife and child.

You can all apply together but that usually prolongs hearing about your study permit since it can take quite a long time for SOWP to get processed.

We applied SP together with SOWP on 11 oct.
15 Oct given bio and updated same day.
After that checking eligibility and been like that for two weeks.
Seem SOWP involvement may delay more than usual processing time.

That isn’t delayed. I have seen other cases take 3+ months.

Even My situation is same .I applied for sp and sowp together from USA.please keep posting your timeline .i haven’t received any update after biometrics .

We started the application on 11 Oct. We are applying from Singapore.

30 oct Medical given
1 nov Medical shipped to visa office
4 nov Medical Passed
5 nov approved and passport request.
