I got my study permit refusal based on purpose of visit. I am planning to reapply after GCMS notes.

At the time of creating GIC account, they asked for Letter of acceptance. Since I am going to reapply, I'll have a new Letter of Acceptance.

Do I need to cancel and reapply GIC deposit?
 
No, You don't have to cancel your GIC. Just use same certificate for your next application..
