SOWP with Canadian Spouse

I'm Canadian, my [common-law] husband is a US citizen. No dependents. We've sent an inland PR app and he's applying for his SOWP now. Our doc checklist doesn't list The Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union. Does that only apply to people coming along, so not to us bc I'm a citizen? I'm pretty sure I don't have to do the Schedule 1 for the same reason, but if anyone could confirm that to ease my anxiety, I would appreciate it. Thank you so much.
