I need your help badly. I am on PGWP and currently working as a Retail store supervisor (NOC B)
My spouse is also on an open work permit, which she received based on my study permit. Her open work permit expires on 31-April-2019. She is right now on the mat. leave and collecting EI. She cleared her pharmacy evaluation exam in Jan 2019 and takin her next exam in May 2019. She wanted to go to India and study. Before going back to India I wanted to extend her open work permit. What are my option??
Please. please help me out. I am so confused right now.
I am not sure, I will call CRA on that. I think she is considered as factual resident. She will do her 2018 taxes as EI is taxable income. I called CRA few days ago about this when my elder son left to India with his grandma and they said it doesn’t effect. Anyway, I will give a call and see what they will say.

For my elder son, yes I am receiving. For my younger son I will be receiving from this month. When my elder son left to India on Jan 15 2019 with his grandma. I called CRA to let them know and they said it doesn’t matter and I still can get CCB
BC has a daycare subsidy that gets paid to the daycare. Ontario has subsidized spots but they go to low income applicants but not enough for demand. Quebec has the largest subsided daycare program but still more demand than spots. Can't tell you about all the other provinces.

How long is your child going to be out of Canada? Your son is also with his grandparents not you which is the other problem. CRA customer service is often wrong unfortunately. It all depends on how long your child is out of Canada.
