My problem is, for now, I am unable to find my application to link with my GC Key account to know about the process details. I haven't got any notification on my email id also.

Thier is option to link your file to get mail or update. Then they ask your detail then all done

From where you apply your file? I think you have to reset all becoz the peron who apply your file comt ra after visa ryt. Once you link your profile then their is nothing to do for him u will get your pasport by own. Thay why they lie to u.
