Hello everyone,
I would like to apologize if i have written this thread in the wrong place or written a similar thread to a past thread.
I am new to the forums and am hoping to obtain answers to my confusion and participate in helping others like me in the future.
My fiance and I are due to be married in a month from now and would then like to apply for spousal sponsorship so that we can be together in the same place without breaks due to visa's.
She (my fiance) is Canadian and resides in Quebec and I hold two passports; UK and South African (grown up in South Africa and have only spent 7 months in the UK when i was 18).
I am currently on a 6 month visitors visa in Canada and am currently a month in, i will have 4 months remaining on the visitor visa once we are married.
As far as i understand an out-land sponsorship would be ideal because this allows me to leave and come back into Canada during the application process, but as far as i understand i could be refused entry with my UK passport during this time. (I have visited in 2017 and 2018 for around 5 months per visit and fear this may be reason to deny entry to me in the future since this is my third visit to Canada in 3 years at this point in time.)
Inland sponsorship is also an option which does not allow me to leave Canada for over a year ? This option would only be decided if it were to avoid very long stretches of us being in different countries ( We can survive a month at a time apart of course. But big periods of time for example six months is very very difficult.)
1.1) Are there any visa's or documents obtainable allowing further entry into Canada with UK passport due to marriage or out-land sponsorship being in progress or pending ?
2.1) Assuming we decide to apply for the out-land sponsorship program, what are the expected steps procedures? May i go via the UK ?
2.2) Who/what do i contact in the UK ? and how long would it take ?
3.1) Does anyone have any information of how and how long it would take via South Africa ? (I suspect this being the slowest option between: inland and out-land sponsorship via uk.)
3.2) Who/what do i contact in South Africa ? and how long would it take ?
Thanks for Reading
