Sorry for the `silly' question, but...when does the CIC `clock' start?

I just received my AOR, which shows that CIC received my application last month, which just so happens to match the information on my delivery confirmation from Canad Post (shocking).

So...does the estimated processing time for stage 1 start today, or from the date that they show that the application was received? I realize that it's only a difference of a month, but...I could really use that extra month if at all possible! ;D

Date that they received it. Duh! :-\

Yippee...I just gained a free month (at least in my head)!

I am pretty sure. But it's tough to tell since there are so many applying at the same time! Maybe in some sort of line.. I personally think after reading the 2013 forum that CIC are very inconsistent. Expect it probably to take about 8-11 months before you hear back for AIP again. Whether they be working on it right now, or the file isn't being worked on up until around AIP! Congrats on AOR though, it's always relieving to receive that


Yep Canada post is an absolute joke, I received AIP over two weeks ago, and I haven't received my OWP yet!
