As mentioned in my older posts, we are planing to arrive in Canada as Temporary Workers.
After arrival, my husband is thinking to take a course for electricians. (btw, anyone knows the period and the cost ?)
Saw today (www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileKeyword.aspx?val=7&val1=7241&val11=electrician&val12=0&val13=0&val14=&val15=0&val16=0) that "Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program is usually required."
Can he, after working 2 years as apprentice electrician, apply under the Canadian Experience Class ?
Here is the link of one of the college where I took my mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma and saved myself from bachelor's "money rip off" till i get my residency which I already have.
Anyways, the cost, you can also find when you will see the details of the course but make sure you look into international students. Get ready to pay 5500-6000 a semester just for the fee and other expenses on top of it. But since your husband is on temporary work permit, I am not even sure if he will be allowed to study at the same time.
But if he doesn't study and just work for 2 years and his NOC is skill 0,A or B then he can apply as a foreign worker instead of taking the graduate stream of CEC.
