Hi,
My H1-B expired in April, but I have an extension and valid I-797. Can I get a soft landing done? I have an approved COPR.
Also I was reading about "Automatic Revalidation" where you can enter Canada on an expired visa but need a valid i-94. Are they referring to the i-94 which comes with the I-797 approval or the online I-94? Thanks.

Yes, you can return to the US using AVR on expired visa if you've a valid I-797A extension approval notice. They are referring to the paper I-94 attached to I-797A.
Has anyone used AVR recently here? I am planning to do the same.
Also curious, can we use CoPR as proof of status in Canada and attend h1b visa stamping as a Canada PR?
