I'm a resident in Berlin but I don't have a German passport. I will be traveling with my wife for soft landing next month. We have received our CoPR and VISA back already from Vienna VO. We plan to travel with Air Canada.
For Canadian flights from Europe it says: "For travel to or via Canada, you need to have an electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA). Due to Canadian legislation, Air France is obliged to provide the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) with your passenger reservation information."
When boarding the plane from Frankfurt to Toronto, what is Air Canada checking? I'm just afraid they don't know about the VISA and may ask for eTA which doesn't apply to us because we are not European Citizens.
