Soft Landing experience?

Hi guys,

I just received my visa and I plan on doing a soft landing. I have some work and family commitments and thus won't be able to stay in Canada for more than a week. I plan on giving my friend's address who in turn would bring back the pr card back to the home country. I am told this is perfectly okay unless the immigration officer asks for some last minute photo or interview? What are the chances of that?

Can people share their experiences of soft landing?
