Hello Friends,
I am currently living in USA and received COPR. I have to do my first landing before October 2017. I am planning to do my first landing as a tourist in order to claim my permanent residency, open a bank account and get SIN. Which port of entry will you recommend? I live far from the border so I will be landing at the airport unlike my friends from Buffalo New York where they went in a car.
I am thinking to make my first landing at Calgary, Alberta so that I can visit Banff and Lake Louise. Also I heard Calgary is the nice city. I see myself settling down in Toronto or Montreal area so I doubt I'll get a chance to visit Calgary again anytime soon.
Kindly share your experience and tips on hotels, motels, tourist places, things to do from your area all over the Canada.
Best wishes.
Calgary. Good Choice. Try to be in Calgary around Calgary Stampede. While you there , you might want to visit Vancouver as well.
I did 2 weeks trip to West Canada in 2016. Started at Vancouver and Ended at Calgary. Covered Victoria , Whistler , Banff , Jasper , Tofino, Kelowna, Revelstoke, Canmore etc.

sounds like an awesome plan but unfortunately I will be having only 4 days to spare since remaining holidays I want to spend in India. Employer is pretty tight on holidays..
Look into top attractions in Calgary/Alberta and make a plan then go to Trip Advisor forum for Calgary/Alberta to get your plan validated by Trip Advisor Destination Experts.
