SKILLED WORKER IMMIGRATION FEDERAL AND PROVINCE RULES FOR 2012

Hello Friends
I am a new member in this forum. Hope I will get warm welcome from you all.
I want to make an application for
Federal or Province skilled workers in coming July.
Can anyone explain to me?
I m B.Cs and having 10 years experience of software development and my age is 42
my wife has done M.A english and 12 years experience as lecturer college and university level , she has done IELTS with 7 band.Her age is 40
if I make my wife as principle applicant so
We get how many points ?
Are we eligible to apply as skilled worker
we have not a job offer from canada
Please guide me

Neither teaching nor software development is on the current list of in-demand occupations, and so if this list does not change in July, you are not eligible to apply for Federal Skilled Worker unless you or your wife get a job offer first.

Your skills may be needed by a particular province, but even then for PNP you still need a job offer (it's just easier since with PNP you don't need a labour market opinion).

IMO best to sit tight for a few weeks and see what is announced in July.

The new list or MI-5 will most likely to be released in Late June or Early July 2012.

Keep an eye on cic.gc.ca's media release page and in this forum as posted by one of the members above.
