My husband was a plumber in Bermuda for 19 years including informal apprenticeship (no grades/paperwork). He has now completed and passed 8 month Foundations of Plumbing & Pipes Trades course in BC. Is this enough to apply for permanent residency or must it be 3rd of 4th year certificate? I understand that he needs a job offer anyway, and may have one, but should he go the safe route of work permit first? I am worried that after the changes in January 2015 that it will be even harder.
