My sister in law is interested in obtaining PR in Canada and she's currently planning on taking a early childhood education diploma course at Sprott Shaw college. I read on other threads that since Sprott Shaw college is a private college, therefore she will not be able to get PGWP once she graduates and might have a hard time finding an employer that's willing to go through LMIA for her. I came across the Caring for children program as I was doing my research: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...e-canada/caregivers/children/eligibility.html and have a couple of questions.
Will I be able to employ my sister in law as our child's caregiver upon her graduation from Sprott shaw by obtaining temporary work permit with myself as an employer?
In two years time, can she apply for PR under the Caring for children program with the experience she has with our child?
Usually family members are refused if the apply to be the nanny of another family member. There was lots of abuse of the system and it was used to circumvent the normal immigration pathways. Most never worked as nannies.
