Hi, I applied to the SINP student stream on November 19, and it's been 8 weeks now, but my application is still in the "Application Received" status. Is anyone else experiencing the same timeline?
Additionally, I noticed in another Facebook group that applications with NOC Code 13110 (Administrative Assistant) tend to have longer processing times. For those with NOC Code 13110, what was your timeline?
I applied on December 12th, and the status is still 'Application Received' after four weeks."
I applied on Oct 29th, "Application Received" until Jan 8th 2025. After so many follow up email, they send ADR on Jan 8th and I got back to them on Jan 9th. It's been "in process" since. Don't know how long will it take now.

Did you apply under SINP student category with permanent job?
Did you apply under SINP student category with permanent job?
Yes. SINP Student Stream with a permanent job. I heard that someone applied in September and still haven't received nomination. While my profile is pretty straight forward in my opinion.
Hi, did you hear back anything from them?

Hey, did you hear back anything? (I think it's already 8weeks for your application).

Hello,
I hold a 1-year Continuing Care Assistant certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and want to apply under the Student Stream. I can’t apply to studentstream cuz now health care applicants must apply to Health talent pathway. However, the new Health Talent Pathway requires two years of study, and while my NOC codes (33102 and 44101) align with my field of study, I don’t qualify due to my 1-year program.
My employer is willing to support me, and we’ve identified NOC 42201 (Social and Community Service Workers) as a possible alternative. While it’s not directly healthcare-related, many duties overlap with my studies, and my employer is willing to adjust the job duties to match.
Does anyone know how closely a job offer needs to align with my field of study for SINP approval? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Only SINP can say how close they need. With SINP allocation reduced by 50% this year, I would say they will require it as closely as possible.

I called them they just stick to the script and keep on telling me what’s mentioned on website and that is it should be related to field of study.

I guessed they would do that. There is no benefits to say otherwise. If they provided more information for you on how they say if a job is good enough, they would be bound by that response. So they won't say a dang thing. You only know when you submitted and they made their decision.
