Join us for a gathering to protest the recent changes to the SINP at the Legislature building in Regina on Tuesday, May 15th, as we express our concerns about these unfair changes to the SINP. This gathering is tentatively scheduled between 1.00 - 3.00 PM.
The change in rules means that SINP will limit the number of concurrent nominations/applications that can be supported to one per household until the principal applicant successfully settles in Saskatchewan, which seems a bit fair but the principal applicant will also be required to have an offer of employment in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) code A or B or designated trade, which is totally unfair as no time limit was even given for this change and it was sudden and has impacted a lot of people.
Please spread the word through online forums and word-to-mouth in your community.
i agree with this and they put ielts requirement in in mid april which is bit unfair as well so the people who wants to apply they cannot apply without ielts and in may they completely change the rule, if they want ielts to be submitted in april 2012 they should give time before implementing new rule and ofcourse they give time like they give before in january 45 days time to put funds in relative account. and every other time they gives time so why not this time.
i hope you guys will succeed.. i'm one of the people who's wanting to apply in canada.. actually we're abut to pass our requirements this july.. but hen,, we're shocked when we visit the website and they've changed the elligibility requirements.. IELTS is acceptable,, but the job offer? it's really a no-no.. it' so hard to find an employer who's willy to wait for until you're okayexcept if you're really skilled i guess..
Canadian immigration system does not give prior notice before implementing new rules; they just announce and implement it straight away.
It was the same case two years back when they suddenly changed the FSW with the introduction of CAP and cutting down the occupation list, breaking millions dreams.

I disagree, I remember for the FSW program before, CIC made a prior announcement then when they were about to change the program requirement.
I remember it so well since I was one of those who monitored the changes in the requirement as I was hoping then that my Occupation will be added in the list of qualified jobs who can apply in FSW... I was also consulting a licensed immigration agency then and they also notify me of the planned changes, so that I could file my application beforehand.
For the SINP Family Stream program, the only reason provided by the ministry that they did not made prior announcement of the changes to be implemented is that they are afraid that they might get swamped with applications that are trying to be filed before the changes take effect... is that a valid reason at all?
This protest reflects views of limited people rather the general consequence of greater immigrant community. After reading the comments regarding the below news, I think the people leading this initiative should think about further consequences.
