Sad day for me. My prospective employer received ineligible letter from Employer Services for the JAL. The reason mentioned is interesting. It states the following:
The job position you are offering will not be approved as it is not a permanent and/or full-time position.
To be eligible for a Job Approval Letter (JAL), job offers must be for a minimum of 2-years in length and a minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
My job offer letter clearly states that it is a Permanent, Full Time position.

Nothing you can do. Does your letter say for at least 2 years? It must. Your employer needs to contact SINP and update the letter to say that you will have the job at least 2 years.

I'm wondering if the language your employer used is part of the problem. They included the word "contract". A contract role is temporary and not permanent. It's contradictory to say the job is both permanent and contract. It's either one or the other.

Agree. Sometimes “contract” can also mean not being an employee on the payroll. I don’t think this is the case but the wording should be ”a permanent, full-time position for a minimum of two years.” or something like that.

Interesting update. My employer told me they had 3 SINP JALs approved on the same template before. Seems luck is just not on my side. I hope my employer is able to take this up and clarify with the authorities.

Just to update everyone and from knowledge sharing POV, please note that Employer Services are not convinced that the position is full time. Although it says so in the contract, it seems you cannot have a JAL approved on a new position. It has to be a position in which someone was working earlier in a full time capacity. That is the only way to prove that the position is full time. Hope this will help any reader in future.
