Hello All,

I think my SINP is losing eligibility, but my PR application is now in process requesting my biometrics and medical examination. I got laid off from my SINP approved job during the holiday season and it was hard to find another SINP approved job. Now I am hired by an employer that has SINP support but I haven't passed probation yet. I have requested to extend my SINP and now SINP requests a new JAL from me by next week, which I won't be able to provide by that time.

I don't know what will happen to my PR application if my SINP becomes ineligible or what should I do now. Is it possible to extend the time to submit a new SINP JAL again? I'm not sure when would my employer provide a JAL for me. I got my first JAL after a year of work at my previous position. Is it possible to make my SINP eligible again if it becomes ineligible next week? If my current SINP becomes ineligible, what would happen to my PR application?

Thank you very much.

Hi @mufei. What happened in your case? Did you eventually get PR?

Fortunately the provincial government said that since my PR application is in process, they don't require a new JAL letter. I didn't apply for a new JAL letter with my new employer. I got PR in Oct 2024

That's awesome @muf!!! So happy for you. Did they request any information at all for new employer though?

Not really. I just provided the new employment letter when I tried to extend the time for a new JAL letter and they did not request more information for my new employer.

Nice!! I'm happy everything worked out for you. Just one last question, was the new job the same as the first one? As in, same NOC?

I didn't get a new JAL from my new job but the position and industry were same as the first one. I guess the NOC is the same. Good luck on your application and hope everything works out for you.
