Hello, I just got married to in Thailand to a Thai national on Sept. 6 2011. We should have everything for PR filed by Oct. 15 2011. Can anyone give me an idea how long before she gets her PR visa. I see singapore wait time is 21 months this is so dishearting, could it really take that long for us to be together in Canada?

hey dave, congratulation on your marriage and welcome to the forum. I am relatively new myself but I have been following this forum for quite some time now.

to answer your question, it really could take up to 21 month for normal processing time. however, i do not want to put you off, few people are lucky enough to receive PR approval as early as four months. that being said, it is based one individual cases and singapore is notorious for having one of the longest wait time for PR. it is best you and your wife have a serious talk about it and keep your spirit high and prepare for the long run.
