Simultaneous application in old and new Express Entry System

Friends,

I applied for PR under CEC category in Oct'14...but with the delay that applicants are facing since Aug-Sep period, do you guys this that applying under express entry also in Jan would be a good idea....Can we apply twice one under the current system and one under the new express entry system.....

To be honest, not many people can answer that with 100% surety. That being said, CIC generally accepts 1 application in an PR class (social and economic). You can apply under EE as well, and maybe withdraw the EE one, if your CEC application is progressing smoothly.

There is no point to do that. You will never get invitation to submit application under EE if you already have another application in process under the same category (CEC). If you apply for EE under FSW, than maybe... but probably not.

not sure the answer, but one thing is clear. EE is not new program for PR , it is just a queue system, you can find this official saying in current EE Q&A part .

I am assuming that reason of above is to increasing the probability to be PR .

If you have already applied in CEC current system if all your documents are OK , I believe current system is anyways will have an upper hand if compared with EE .

Coming to EE its not a cap based system where you have to hurry , god forbid if your application is not processed in current system , first you have to send expression of interest and along with all the LMIA/LMO obligations which are not clear , I guess CIC asking you to apply PR for EE and what you have applied now , the latter has more chances.

I would advice stick with current system if somehow doesn't work out shift to plan B which is express entry .

Also if you want to apply money factor will also come into picture if you apply in both .

If you don't get AOR till dec 31st with whatever reasons , Cancel your credit card payment and then start working on Plan B . Applying both I don't think would make sense , even if its valid which I am not sure.

Thanks Guys...I wanted to make sure that I discuss my thoughts with my good friends on this forum and as ususal I have got excellent advice...I am and will be positive that we will soon get the PR under the old system itslef....Thanks guys....
