Hi,

On the forms it says "BEFORE YOU START, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS GUIDE, TYPE OR PRINT in black ink". Does this mean, that only black pen is to be used when filling out information such as writing the name in native language, and when signing the application, is that also supposed to be in black ink only?

Thanks! :)

Yes I want to know the answer to this question as well. All my forms are filled and printed from PC in black ink. But, my spouse (applicant) signed and dated her forms in dark blue ball point pen. Would this be considered as improper and the application be returned?

use black whenever you can.

if your spouse signed in dark blue, you should be ok. the reason they ask for black is just to ensure that their scanners can pick it up.

We signed in blue ink. I always do. For me it helps quickly identify my originals from my photo-copies. I've yet to see a scanner completely omit my "blue" signature from of a signed document, it simply shows up on the scan in "blue".

Blak and blue are acceptable, i always signed in blue without any problems. Don't sign in yellow though
