Me and my Common-law partner are waiting for AIP and the open work permit.
Her post grad work permit expires in November....
I read that it is a good idea to apply for a temporary status application so that we have implied status in case we dont get AIP / OWP before her current PGWP expires in november.
should we apply ?
If you submitted the OWP with the Inland sponsorship application, that will give her implied status. She may not be able to continue working, since she has PGWP, but she would still have temporary status.
I know Ponga knows more about this stuff than me, but some time ago while I was on PGWP an agent told me that you DO get implied status with it when you apply. She sent me an email with that information, and I worked under implied status with that information. Two agents from CIC confirmed it, I know you don't believe them completely but that's what I did and had no problems.
